Trauma-Informed Therapy

I will not push you into the worst of it to prove we are working. You set the pace and you decide what stays unsaid. Much of my caseload is what the journey here cost people, leaving a violent home, and harm that went on for years.

What you get from me

  • PTSD, including the complex kind
  • Trauma carried through migration and asylum
  • Life after domestic violence
  • What childhood left behind
  • Medical scares and traumatic loss
  • Identity wounds between two cultures

How it works

  1. STEP 1
    Steady ground first

We build steadiness first. Nothing gets opened before you can hold it.

  2. STEP 2
    Processing

EMDR-informed and narrative work, slowed to whatever your body will take.

  3. STEP 3
    Integration

Working out who you are now, and getting back to people.

Frequently asked

Is this the same thing as the immigration evaluation?

No. An evaluation is a one-off report for a legal file. Therapy is ongoing treatment with no report at the end. The evaluations page covers the other one.

Will you make me tell the whole story again?

No. You decide what gets said and when. That is the whole method.
