Family Therapy
When a household stops talking properly, I get everyone in the room. Useful for families rebuilding after a move to a new country, step-families working out the rules, and patterns handed down a generation too far.
What you get from me
- Parents and kids stuck in conflict
- Stepfamilies and blended households
- Family stress from migration and culture change
- Learning to talk and hold boundaries
- A family grieving together
- Families living in two languages
How it works
- STEP 1Family intake
Everyone with a say sits down with me at once and we agree what we are aiming at.
- STEP 2Sessions with structure
I work with the whole system. Nobody gets made the villain.
- STEP 3Skills for between sessions
Things to actually try between sessions, so it holds.
Frequently asked
Who comes to the sessions?
Whoever is inside the pattern. Usually the parents first, with children joining when it helps them rather than the adults.
Can one session mix languages?
Yes. I run sessions in two languages at once when a family does not share one.
