Child & Play Therapy
Children work things out through play long before they can say them. I use structured, trauma-informed play with kids facing worry, a family coming apart, a death, or something frightening early on.
What you get from me
- Worry, fears and not wanting school
- Big emotions that need taming
- Splitting up, starting over, and step-families finding their feet
- Losing someone they love
- Gentle work on early trauma
- Kids growing up in two cultures
How it works
- STEP 1Parent consult
I start with the parents alone: what happened, what worries you, what you want.
- STEP 2Child sessions
Through play, at their age, at their speed.
- STEP 3Parent updates
I check in with parents regularly and send you home with something workable.
Frequently asked
How old should my child be?
Around five to twelve. Teenagers do better in one-to-one therapy.
Does play therapy work over video?
Play works best in the same room, so Boca Raton for most. Some video for older children.
