Because the evaluation will carry your story into a legal process. You deserve to know the clinician's license, evaluation experience, languages, process, fees, and timing before committing. A good evaluator welcomes these questions.
What is the most important question on the list?
Ask about clinical independence: the evaluator documents what is true, not what anyone wants written. An evaluator who promises a favorable report regardless of findings is a warning sign, not a shortcut.
