Frequently asked questions

Do I need everything on this list before I can be evaluated?

No. Missing records do not automatically prevent an evaluation. Evaluators work with what exists — your story matters more than a complete paper file. The checklist simply shows what would strengthen your preparation.

What if I have a deadline very soon?

A close filing or hearing deadline usually means contacting the practice promptly matters more than gathering every document first. The result will say so clearly when your answers suggest it.

Is my checklist saved anywhere?

No. It exists only in your browser while you are on the page. You can print it or download it for yourself before you leave.

Should I wait until I feel completely ready?

Most people never feel completely ready, and that is okay. If an attorney has identified the matter and a deadline exists, reaching out early usually makes the whole process calmer.

This tool is educational. Results help organize information — they are not legal advice, a diagnosis, or a prediction of any immigration outcome. A licensed immigration attorney can advise you about your legal matter, and the evaluator independently determines the appropriate clinical process.
